Our prayers for healing have turned to prayers of peace and
strength as beautiful Nathan received his wings this morning
and went home to Heaven after a long and courageous fight.
In May 2022, Nathan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma
and has given one hell of a fight since. The bravery, strength,
and courage Nathan and his family showed during
this past four years was remarkable. A true warrior.
At this time, Nathan's family is not only facing how to navigate
life after this devastating loss, but also facing the immediate
financial burden of having to plan a proper funeral.
Finances are nothing ANY family in this situation should have to
worry about or figure out. In addition, to being in CHOP continuously since December 2025, Nathan's mom has been out of work to
care for him for quite a long time and has exhausted FMLA.
Nathan and his family are personal friends of the Blackbird Foundation and part of our Birches Elementary Family as a 3rd Grade Student.
We are committed to doing anything we can to support them during this time - including making sure that Nathan is laid to rest in the most beautiful way. If you are able to contribute, please do
- if not, please share. There is truly no contribution too small.
This page was set up in conjunction with Nathan's parents and
100% of donations will go directly to the Urbina Family
without any third-party platform fees.
The Blackbird Foundation is a NJ 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.
We would be happy to offer a donation letter with our501(3) information on it for anyone that wishes to make a tax-deductible donation.

Thank you for your support, but most importantly -
please keep Nathan's friends, classmates, teachers, our entire Birches family,
and most importantly his parents, sister and the rest of his family
in your prayers and thoughts. Especially in the days to come.
